The Claddagh ring is a traditional ring worn as a wedding ring. The design and customs associated with it originated in the Irish fishing village of Claddagh, located just outside the old walls of the city of Galway. Deep purple and hot fuchsia pink make a gorgeous, modern combination as shown in bouquets put together by Fiftyflowers.com. We used this combination to create these luxe purple wedding invitations. The heavyweight Plum purple background card and white overlay was wrapped with a Fuchsia pink grosgrain belt and finished with a solid brass buckle. The overlay was printed with Japanese vintage clip art, sold at Formal-Invitations.com with 453 other Japanese designs scanned on a cd, plus in book form for only $14. The invitations were also from Formal-Invitations.com for an affordable 98¢ each, including envelope. We love the eco-chic, luxe designs for less!
